BEST CHICAGO BLACKHAWK WHO WAS THE WORST LA KING:
If you haven't by now... be sure to check out my guest appearance on Puck Daddy's What We Are Thankful For. It's quite the All-Star team of hockey bloggers... and I'm pretty sure I'm the Ethan Moreau of the bunch. Hopefully you've spent the last few days stuffing your face with friends and family like I have. But I'm here to let you know one thing... this was not the product of a food-induced coma:
Either Kevin Westgarth just scored his 1st NHL goal... or someone just put out an extra turkey leg bone.
It's true, Kevin Westgarth scored his 1st NHL goal.. and his 1st goal as a Los Angeles King. Why, that's only 2 less goals than Dustin Penner has scored as a Los Angeles King! It's enough to make you smile!
If there is one thing Coach Terry Murray is known for... it's committing to keeping his lines the same. Well, no, actually he's known for changing his lines more often than Jarret Stoll changes Hollywood starlets. But for some reason, unbeknownst to a lot of Kings fans... Coach Murray is sticking with his current bottom 6 forwards... leaving speedsters Brad Richardson and Trevor Lewis as healthy scratches in favor of cement-feeted Ethan Moreau and Trent Hunter.
"Sorry, Brad. You've got footspeed and offensive potential.
There is no room for you here."
The Kings take on a Chicago Blackhawks team that has lost 3 of it's last 4 games... and barely beat the Anaheim Ducks last night 6-5. But who cares? Because a bunch of them look like Muppets.
