Sometimes in Mid-November, your favorite hockey team drops 2 games in a row to NHL teams that have funny colored uniforms. But also, your favorite hockey team holds a fan event that allows this screengrab to now live on the internet.
Last night really ends up as a win in my opinion.
Blue Jackets 5, Kings 3
So the Los Angeles Kings may no longer be the Champions of Mid-November... but let's not panic... they still aren't far off.
Yeah, I'd say they are doing alright.
That was not your Grandfather's Columbus Blue Jackets at Staples Center Wednesday night... assuming your Grandfather is more than 10 years old. That was a strong defensive team with an excellent goaltender. And of course, since Lebron James left, the state of Ohio's lone superstar remains ice hockey's Rick Nash.
Wow, that's a really agressive marketing campaign, Nike.
But the best thing to come out of last night's performance was an in-between period segment highlighting Heidi Androl's trip to the Kings annual Tip-A-King event last week. And sometimes... well, sometimes... it's just too easy.
There are just too many ways to go here.
I don't know why, but I always find it hysterical that Simmonds
and Doughty are always wearing Toronto Blue Jay hats.
You wouldn't believe how many different line combinations Coach Murray used during this game of air hockey.
And Schenn still was a healthy scratch.
10-2 with a 1.73 Goals Against Average...
and still not cool.
Brad Richardson shows you how to look cool in sunglasses.
Either that or he's still wearing his Maverick costume from Halloween.
I don't even want to know where Heidi's right hand is.
So the Kings have lost a couple in a row. Big deal! We are Kings fans... and we are used to this. Besides, the future here in Los Angeles is so bright... so bright, you gotta wear shades.
I could stare at this all day.
Apparently, there are blogs that cover the Columbus Blue Jackets, I had no idea. Check out The Dark Blue Jacket for all your Ohio news and notes. The Kings head out for a 4 game road trip to the most Northeast of locations in America and Canada. Perfect time for a road trip, huh?
