Insert "Blues" Pun Headline Here
The only thing worse than having to be inside working all weekend is finding out that the Los Angeles Kings lost to the St. Louis Blues 4-3. Usually, I have the time to watch each and every Kings game and obsessively dissect them. But not with this game... and from the recaps I've been reading... it doesn't seem like it's worth the time to go back and watch it on the ole Tivo.

Kings 3, Blues 4
This game was not included in our Half Season Ticket Holder Package but as a surprise a loyal reader of The Royal Half, Slanderific and her husband happened to score amazing seats for Saturday's game. So she snapped a few cameraphone pics to give my readers a sense of what it's like to sit on the glass.

Terry Murray is even as expressionless from over the shoulder.

Tonight's giveaway was a life-sized Wayne Simmonds doll.

Don't make Kompon angry.

And here is her thoughts on the 2010 edition of the Los Angeles Kings:
The last time I saw the Kings was 2007 (ran into you and Half Season Ticket Holder Buddy at that game) and I was bored to death.
Not this year.
They've gotten a lot better. And there's a lot more action. It's hockey the way I remember hockey from growing up in Maine. Some serious checking, lots of fights, and a least a little blood.
Good stuff.
The Kings are right back at it Monday night against the San Jose Sharks in Game 3 of this 7 game home-stand that they are now 0-2 on. Oh and the Kings are now just 1 point away from being out of the playoffs. But 4 points away from being 4th in the conference. I love the Western Conference.
